Good News???

I believe good news exists everywhere, and if we can’t see it, our view may be blocked by negative distractions, this may be negative news in media or people speaking negative about us etc… I have seen patients with 3rd degree burn wounds, have no pain after God touched them… People with lower back pain, healed…. People who had fear, become fearless when the Holy Spirit touches them…
God has not stopped moving, we just started to refuse to see that He is moving…
What has greater power? Love? Or Fear? I trust what the Scriptures say on this…
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. (1 John 4:18 ESV)
We see more fear based, and fear inducing, news in current media… The problem is that news that is induces fear, also has the effect that the thing in media can become all we focus on… Thus stealing our focus from Christ…
Testimonies

I felt a yearning to do this for a long time now, I just didn’t know how I will get it up and running… Unfortunately I have seen a lot of hopelessness and fear rise in this season as Covid-19 becomes the center of all media, and governments trying to force every website to add Covid-19 awareness…
I believe in Christ… He has saved me and set me free… There is a lot of power in testimony…
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. AND THEY HAVE CONQUERED HIM BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY, FOR THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES EVEN UNTO DEATH. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!” (Revelation 12:10-12 ESV)
As this states the way we beat the accuser is by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimonies.
We need to start sharing what God has done… It may be small like waking up in the morning and being healthy, or as big as being raised from the dead… Our testimonies are always to help us, and those around us…
Why is our testimonies important?
A couple of years ago I received this one book Releasing the Spirit of Prophecy: The Supernatural Power of Testimony written by Bill Johnson. I only read a part of the book but I thought about it a couple of days ago again…
In the first chapter it shows this one scripture:
Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:10 ESV)
The part here that “exploded in” Bill Johnson’s heart was: “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Then this part follows a couple of paragraphs later:
… After he (pseudo name: Jim) finished the story (about God restoring his marriage) he said, “Bill, you have my permission to tell this testimony to anyone you know who needs to hear it.”
The statement suddenly connected the dots for me. Testimony and prophecy had always been important elements of the Christian life, but in this moment I realized that this man was telling me that I could use his testimony to prophesy over people. (Prophecy either foretells the future or causes a change in the present. A testimony then becomes a catalytic in its ability to bring about a change of atmosphere in the present, making room for the supernatural release.)
Jim had instinctively made two assumptions: first, that if God had done this great thing for him, He would surely do it for other; second, that declaring the testimony was the vehicle by which this promise would be transmitted.
The first assumption is clearly supported in the Scriptures, which state that God is the same yesterday, today and forever and is no respecter of persons (see Heb. 13:8, Acts 10:34). And the second assumption, I recognized in that moment, was the practical application of the truth that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Testimonies prophesy God’s intent and nature to all who will hear.

Prayers

The area for prayers is open so you can send an confidential email to myself (at prayer@byburnie.co.za)…
The idea is to be a place where you can ask freely for prayer… I cannot promise that I will respond to every email, but I do promise that I will pray, and once I have a group of prayer warriors in place, that there may even be more that one praying…
